FAQs.

Results typically last 2-3 months, depending on the dosage administered. Higher doses may provide longer-lasting results with a more frozen appearance, while lower doses offer greater facial movement but may wear off sooner. The goal is to find the ideal balance that best aligns with your aesthetic preferences.
We use ultra-fine needles for treatment, and the injectable solution typically causes minimal discomfort—many clients compare it to the sensation of eyebrow plucking. To help reduce the risk of bruising, we recommend avoiding aspirin and alcohol on the day of your appointment.
AntiWrinkle injections are known most commonly by the brand name Botox. However at The Cosmetic Nurse we use XEOMIN®.
XEOMIN® is a highly purified* anti-wrinkle treatment. It has been scientifically formulated to purify the active protein that is responsible for relaxing the facial muscles. XEOMIN®’s purified* formulation means that, unlike other anti-wrinkle treatments, XEOMIN® is free from unnecessary additional proteins (called complexing proteins*) that may, over time, increase the risk of your anti-wrinkle treatment not working.

Anti-wrinkle injections are quick and efficient to administer. A full explanation of what to expect will be outlined during your free consultation.
Following your initial consultation—where we ensure you’re fully informed and comfortable—we’ll assess and select the treatment area, carefully mark the injection sites, and determine the precise amount of product needed to achieve your desired outcome.
Full after care instructions will be provided at your appointment.
Over the days following your appointment you will start to notice a reduction in the muscle movement as the product starts to take effect. Optimal results are noticeable 10 - 14 days post treatment.
For 48 hours following your appointment, avoid touching, rubbing and massaging the area. Gentle cleansing and your normal skincare routine is fine.
Avoid intense exercise, heat and saunas for 24 hours.
